Snake in the Grass

During breakfast we see some movement outside and find a Black snake slinking towards the house. Soon it was joined by another one. Frogs and toads, turtles, spiders, and snakes. What's next, gators?

Remind Me to Tell You about the Time the Sheriff Came Out....Again!

Around 11:30pm, Sitting around watching a movie when...a gunshot from outside. Drive-by? Late night hunting? Nope. Two bubbas were hotrodding a pick-up inthe woods across the street. They got the truck stuck and the headlights were pointing at the neighbor's front living room windows. The neighbor when out, armed of course, to confront the bubbas...I guess they gave him some lip and BAM. Our neighbor doesn't put up with any disrespect; a gunshot just to let them know whose neighborhood they violated.
Grandpa and I get strapped and go out to back up the neighbor. The Sheriff comes out and hauls the bubbas away. Grandpa asks about the truck being out here, he wants it gone. Sorry, if it aint on the road, then the Sheriff can't tow it. Grandpa takes the Deputy that starange things happen out here....like trucks moving by themselves out in the street. "If that happens, then give us a call back and we'll tow it". I'm giggling inside!
